Chapter 3: Sensorial Education (Indriyon ka Vikas)

Training the Five Senses | AIINTT MNTT Curriculum 2026

Dr. Maria Montessori ka manna tha ki bacchon ka dimaag unki 5 senses (Indriyon) ke zariye seekhta hai. Jab baccha kisi cheez ko chhu kar, dekh kar ya sun kar samajhta hai, toh wo uski memory mein hamesha ke liye baith jata hai.

1. Sensorial Education ke Mukhya Uddeshya

Sensorial materials bacchon ko in kshamtaon mein maharat dete hain:

🔸 Discrimination: Do cheezon ke beech fark karna seekhna (E.g. Bada vs Chota).
🔸 Classification: Cheezon ko unke gunon (Size, Color) ke hisaab se alag karna.
🔸 Refining Senses: Dekhne, sunne aur chhunne ki kshamta ko tez banana.

2. Famous Montessori Sensorial Materials

A. Visual Sense (Dekhne ki Shakti):

The Pink Tower: 10 pink cubes ka set. Isse baccha 3D Dimensions ki samajh develop karta hai.

The Brown Stair: Mote (Thick) se patle (Thin) prisms ka antar seekhne ke liye.

Cylinder Blocks: Ismein 'Control of Error' hota hai—galat cylinder fit nahi hota, jisse baccha khud apni galti sudharta hai.

B. Tactile (Chhunna) aur Auditory (Sunna):

Touch Tablets: Rough aur Smooth ka fark mehsus karne ke liye.

Sound Cylinders: Do sets jinko hila kar matching sounds dhundni hoti hain.

3. Sensorial Learning: The Three Period Lesson

Teacher naya concept in 3 steps mein sikhati hai:

Period 1: Naming "This is Large".
Period 2: Recognition "Show me the Large one".
Period 3: Recall "What is this?".

4. Practical Example: "The Mystery Bag"

Activity: Baccha bag ke andar hath dalkar bina dekhe chammach, ball ya block ko chhu kar pehchanta hai. Isse bacche ki Stereognostic Sense (bin dekhe pehchanna) develop hoti hai.

Sensorial education bacche ke dimaag ko "Organize" karti hai. Jo cheezein wo bahaar ki duniya mein dekhta hai, unhe wo in materials ke zariye define karna seekh jata hai.
